【Patent】New Regulations for Electronic Submission of Patent Specifications 2024/12/26

📢【Intellectual Property Practice Update】

The Intellectual Property Office announces that starting from January 2025, the following new procedures will apply to patent applications submitted electronically via E-SET (referred to as "Patent Electronic Applications") for amendments, corrections, or clarifications of patent specifications ("Amendment Specifications"):

◆For patent electronic applications submitted before 2022, Amendment Specifications do not need to be converted to PDF using E-SET and can be directly submitted electronically through E-SET.

◆For patent electronic applications submitted in 2022 and later, Amendment Specifications must first be converted to PDF using E-SET, or else they cannot be submitted electronically via E-SET.
