【Patent】「Design Patent Online Application System」will be open to the public from 2024/12/19 2024/12/19

To enhance the convenience of patent application, the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has developed a web-based platform for design patents, the "Design Patent Online Application System", which can be used by users through a browser and supports cross-device use.

In 2024, new applications for design patents and derivative design patents will be opened, as well as other application functions, including re-examination, amendment, correction, licensing, payment of annual fee, general reply, withdrawal, extension and assignment, etc. Meanwhile, a number of new functions will be provided, such as: "My Draft" function to save cases under editing (with a retention period of 30 days).
